50 Years Strong Celebration

On Sunday, October 5, 2025, 120 members (past and present) joined together on the pool deck to celebrate 50 years of Murraywood! In case you missed, check out the photos and videos!

Also, we were Doin’ Good in the Wood by collecting donations for the Saluda Slammers to help offset travels costs as they head to the State Championships this month. It’s not too late to make a donation: CLICK HERE TO DONATE TO THE SALUDA SLAMMERS!

On the pool deck, members looked through old photo albums while a photo montage of Murraywood past and present played on the TV. If you missed it, check it out here:

On the Clubhouse deck, members enjoyed a video presentation of “What Murraywood Means to Me.” If you missed it, check it out here:

The event was catered by Scotties Catering Services and received rave reviews! To hire Scottie for your event, text or call him at (803) 608-8885.

The super cute kids of Murraywood re-enacted The Story of Murraywood, showing how Club came to be. It was excerpted from An Early History of Murraywood Swim and Racquet Club as remembered by Cheryl Folley, Don Davis, Mary Ann Lane and others, written in 2010. You can read the full version here:
