COVID-19 Pool Protocol Update

Due to increasing COVID-19 cases and high percent positive testing trend in our area, we are increasing our safety protocols to protect members, guests and staff.
Effective immediately:

  • Staff will be wearing face masks EXCEPT when in guard stand and during “mask breaks” where they can sit by themselves at a 6′ distance from others without a mask for a 10 minute break.
  • Staff will be temperature checked at the start of each shift. An elevated temperature reading will mean guard is sent home for that shift and cannot return until fever free for 24 hours.
  • Lifeguards with known exposure to a positive COVID individual within the community will be removed from the schedule and required to present proof of a negative COVID test before being allowed to work again, or quarantined for 14 days. “Contact” is considered being less than 6′ apart without a mask for 10 minutes or more.

We will continue block scheduling with no more than 100 swimmers, and thorough disinfection each hour during adult swim. An extensive sanitation will continue between blocks to include loungers, chairs, tables, bathrooms, rails, gates, counters, etc.
If you haven any questions regarding our COVID protocols, please contact Stacey Merritt at staceymacmerritt@gmail.com or Jesse Merritt at fivemerritts@gmail.com.

As we mentioned at the start of the season, we are re-evaluating our COVID protocols to balance safety of staff and members with accessibility to the pool. We will continue to review our policies to provide the safest and funnest venue for your family summer activities.
