The Saluda Slammers are a local Special Olympics tennis team coached by David and Katherine Andes. They practice and play at Saluda Shoals Park. The team consists of 17 athletes with skill levels ranging from basic to advanced, including 3.0 tennis players! The Slammers compete several times a year. Their biggest event, a national tournament called the Special Olympics North America Tournament (SONA), is held in Hilton Head each October. Proceeds from our Doing Good in the ‘Wood tournament will help offset the costs associated with traveling to this tourament.

The Saluda Slammers are assisted by fantastic volunteers and are open to welcoming more volunteers aboard!
