To acknowledge that it is Okra Strut weekend in Irmo, join us for a fun night of Outstanding Krazy Ridiculously Awesome (OKRA*) tri-level doubles team play on Friday, September 29 from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m.! Tri-level teams will include ALL LEVELS of players, from the very beginner to the advanced player. From those who register, teams will be formed by random draw, consisting of 3.0 and under doubles players of each gender, 3.5 doubles players of each gender, and 4.0+ doubles players of each gender.  Depending on the registration numbers and levels, each tri-level team could have up to 16 members!  Each tri-level team’s doubles players will compete in leveled abbreviated sets (round robin format), and the tri-level team that posts the most games won overall in all the rounds wins the tournament!

Pizza will be provided, but players are encouraged to sign up for sweet/salty/cheese and crackers/fruit snacks.   Water and lemonade will also be provided.  BYOB is welcomed.   Spectators can eat for only $5 per person. (Did we say pizza?)

Doing Good in the ‘Wood
Proceeds/profit from this event will be donated to our local Special Olympics chapter, Area 7, earmarked for their tennis programs. We will also be collecting monetary donations should you wish to give a little more. Donations will be accepted during the event, or you may donate along with your registration. Donations are optional!!!

Unified Junior Tennis Clinic Exhibition
During tournament registration on Friday night, we will be running an exhibition clinic for a unified cohort of junior Special Olympians (including Lila Mozingo, who takes lessons at Murraywood!) and juniors from our year-round programs. Lila and her mom, Padgett, will also have a table set up with Lila’s Sweet Treats available for purchase – proceeds support the Limitless Lila foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to dispelling myths about Down Syndrome.
